Ashurst advises Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners on the partnership with GC Storage for 2.3 GW pipeline of large-scale battery storage projects in Italy
Global law firm Ashurst advised Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners, the world’s largest dedicated fund manager within greenfield renewable energy investments, through its Flagship Fund CI V on a partnership with Italian developer GC Storage for a 2.3 GW pipeline of large-scale BESS projects under development in Italy.
The deal marks the addition of one of the largest BESS pipelines under development in Italy to CIP’s portfolio.
Ashurst advised Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners with a team led by partner Carloandrea Meacci supported for the transactional aspects by partner Annamaria Pinzuti, counsel Andrea Di Rosa, associates Federico Piccione, Francesco Carrà, Alessio Lisanti and trainees Alessio Parenti and Claudia Rocco. The due diligence aspects of the transaction have been followed by a team led by partner Elena Giuffrè with the support of associates Marta Simoncelli and Francesca Sala and trainee and Matteo Perrone.

The project saw the direct involvement of theManaging Director Paolo Vincenzo Chiantore, the Head of Asset Management and Technical Advising Simone Pinamonte, and team members Nicola Ielo and Umberto Ivoi.
